Request for a Title for a Speech on The Wire

In November I’m speaking at a conference in Leeds, UK, on The Wire (the HBO TV show). I need a title for my presentation. I can’t think of anything. Of course I have no idea what I’m going to say yet. But I still need a title.

Anybody out there have any good idea for a title? Maybe something clever? Maybe something taken from The Wire?

If you're advocating legalization, you could call it 'Getting to Hamsterdam'

did you look at the individual names of episodes?

Crazy as it is, I'm actually not advocating legalization at this conference. Or at least it won't be my main point.

I will look at name episodes.

I do like "It's all in the game, yo"

I also like Shhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeee-it, but somehow I don't really see that working. It's harder to work it into something meaningful.

The titles of individual eposides aren't so good.

But wiki also lists the openning quote, which often are good.

    Contenders:

Just 'cause they're in the street doesn't mean that they lack opinions.

They're dead where it doesn't count.

    This ain't Aruba, bitch.

How about just "Cop in the hood, the real wire"

CPM, I like the way you think… but I can't be *that* overt about my sales pitch!

And the winner is (picked from a list by the man running the show in Leeds):

"They're dead where it doesn't count."

    Thank you all for playing!

You're beautiful. Drive safely. Tip your waitress.
