I just want to put this out here so *I* don’t forget. I somehow hadn’t heard of Tony Timba until like two weeks ago. This is an egregious Floyd like case of a man killed by cops. But only Floyd, here there was also a cover up and there was no accountability. Cops did nothing wrong, they say. I disagree.

The lawsuit was tossed out a couple of weeks ago due to qualified immunity. So multiple cops, with a supervisor on scene, go 14 minutes without using the recovery position and there is not even a chance of a legal recourse (barring appeal).

Appeals court has overturned and said the case can go to trial. City of Dallas has, of course, appealed. Link below.
