This NYT piece by a Harvard economist is also very good. He may have been inspired by some of your blog posts.
Thanks. Hadn't seen that yet. And his inclusion of arrest percentages as a denominator, a proxy for potentially fatal encounters, is both useful and simple. Why didn't I think of that?
