After Mrs. Gotti read the article to me, I agree you do sound like an "intellectual bad-ass!" Maybe it is because of that giant forehead of yours. Also, I did yell at Mrs. Gotti at first for reading during TV time, but then she explained that it was about you. That was ok. It was great seeing you in May and I hope to see you again soon. Don't hold your breath for Sgt. to come and see you in the big, bad city.
I read COP IN THE HOOD about the time I finished watching THE WIRE, and had already read THE CORNER. Those events started the aircraft carrier to turn. FLOGGING brought me all the way around. There are a lot of things in this country that aren't going to get any better if we can't walk away from our mentality of, "if it's not working, do more of it until it does."
