Update (12:40am): Three of the officers have died, I just read.
“On Saturday, people lingered at the scene of the traffic-stop shooting. About 20 bystanders taunted the police.”
Update (Monday 1pm): The fourth officer has been declared brain dead.
This story makes me feel sick and weak. Such a waste, so senseless.
Real smart group. If you want to encourage better policing, taunting the police after officers have been shot is a real intelligent way to go about it. If you want to know where some of the most useless people in the U.S. hang out, you’d probably find some of them hanging out amongst that crowd of idiots in Oakland.
What a trajedy. My heart goes out to all of the officer’s families.
