Think of all the money Baltimore could save!
Well, think of all the money Baltimore is already saving. They're doing a really great job cutting costs…
Yeah, but some of the cost savings has no doubt been negated by the consultants' fees!
It seems to me that most of the costs are fixed, not variable.
And of course the medical fees are kind of funny money. They can put whatever they want on their bills. I'd bet the reimbursement is much lower.
I regard what happened to the perp as a happy ending, but it doesn't make up for all those costs.
