Hey Republicans… you know why “treason” matters more than other insults? Because the Constitution mentions treason seven times, you want every idiot to be able to carry a gun, and treason is usually punishable by execution. But what do I know? I’m just another “lib”.
I wonder what Karl Rove would say? Oh… I guess Karl is getting soft. Uh, no, he’s not. When Karl Rove is considered left wing, it’s a sign of the coming apocalypse. God help us!
Speaking of God, I’d fully support Texas secession. And I hope they take Arizona with them. And then pray. I’m sure that’s what your intolerant old-testament hate-filled Jesus would do. Right after pissing on all those illegal immigrants not raping your daughters.
[I know those last two lines don’t make sense. That’s my point. But when I’m in doubt, I just think: WWYIOTHFJD.]
Wow, that's quite a lot of hate directed at a large group of people that's not you. Is that what the democrats are teaching these days?
Sometimes you just gotta call people out. Sometimes hate is countered with hate. I guess I'm not a very good Christian. But then, unlike them, I don't claim to be.
Let me know how that hate thing works out for you.
Not so well.
Gives me wrinkles and drives me to drink.
My attitude isn't much different from Peter's. but I don;t consider it hate. I think of it as a corollary to The Golden Rule.
I genuinely try to treat everyone as I would like to be treated myself, and grant them enough respect to assume they do the same. Therefore, when someone treats me like a brain dead, treasonous, lying SOB, I return the compliment with a clear conscience.
The primary difference is that I don't claim to be a good Christian, wondering what Jesus would do, though I'm willing to to match my "Christian" ethics with Perry, Bachmann, et al any day..
I feel like the right-wing is a bully that keeps punching and punching, and then when it gets hit back, he runs to the teacher and whines that he got hit.
Take Palin, who said I wasn't a "real American" because I love New York. Or Bachmann when she urged, "the American media [to] take a great look at the views of the people in Congress and find out, are they pro-America or anti-America?" What the fuck!? This isn't acceptable public discourse for people who wish to be taken seriously. They need to get smacked down for such statements and not cheered on by idiots for "speaking the truth."
So why don't you point your attacks at them instead of dragging all of Arizona into it?
Because Arizona seems to best represent everything wrong and hate-filled with conservative America. I mean I did call Sheriff Joe Arpaio an SOB in my book. The examples above are just the two that most stick in my mind (but they're from 2008). More recent craziness (absurd fear-mongering anti-immigration policy, for instance) often comes from Arizona.
Arizona? Don't you just mean Maricopa County? There's nothing wrong with Tucson!
Well I mean the state collectively. Of course that isn't to say there aren't smart and compassionate people on all sides of the political spectrum, even in Arizona. But the state as a whole? As represented by their elected officials? No thanks. I welcome the Independent Confederation of TexaZona.
Tucson and Austin, should they wish, can form a little independent city-state league, a-la the Hanseatic League.
I just pity poor New Mexico stuck in the middle.
