19. I too am curious how many black cops have killed white people. The UCR will have that data (though I'm not home to access it). It's happened, I can assure you, but the number will be small. For two reasons:
    1) There are no white neighborhoods as violent as the most violent black neighborhoods. And police-involved shootings are highly correlated with neighborhood violence. And then 2) there are not many black officers patroling in high-crime/drug white areas.

32. AS an former California peace officer, I can say without equivocation that every incident where a police officer uses lethal force is different, but all are the same in a particular way. Every police officer who uses his handgun uses it to defend himself or someone else. If an officer believes he is in jeapordy for his life, he is justified to pull and use his weapon. Let's say the cop is 5'8" and the suspect is 6'5" and weighs 300 pounds. Is the cop at a disadvantage in a hand-to-hand combat situation? You bet he is.

    In the case of the shooting of 300 pound, 6'3" Michael Brown by Officer Wilson in Ferguson, Missouri, the blacks are trying to say that because Brown was shot in the hands, he had his hands up in front of him trying to give-up. Yet, how does a person attack another person? With his hands down, or up in front of him? A person attacks with his hands up. If Brown was attacking Officer Wilson, he was trying to harm the cop with his hands. Wilson said he shot Wilson when he came at him. Why won't they believe that a man who had just committed a strong-arm robbery would attack a police officer? Just like Trayvon Martin, they want to say that Michael Brown was just a peaceful black 18 year old who was trying to surrender to a police officer. Does that really sound believable after watching the video of Brown robbing the store?

    Yes exactly. But all of these people calling for/demanding the officer's conviction, will never accept the facts of this case. Even if it was on video from beginning to end, they'd still be screaming foul. As a direct example, look at the reaction to the robbery video that shows Brown and Johnson robbing a store while being violent. First they said it was a fake video. Then the police edited it to look like brown, because they were certain he was wearing different clothes when he died, which is 100% false. Then they said it was irrelevant. How is a man being physically violent over stolen cigars, only 10 minutes prior, irrelevant? It is proof that Brown was not a "gentle giant" as his family and community falsely claimed. Its proof that he may be more likely to confront an officer, because he may have thought the cop was there about the robbery. But now that the lies are out, They won't stop claiming that the cops shoot them with their hands up.
    And it will start up again every time something similar happens.

    They have been told that 2+2=5 for so long by people like Sharpton, Jackson, and the rest that they will never accept that it's 4.

    In reality though, 70 more whites are killed every year than Blacks in police custody. Of the top deaths, a very small amount are unarmed, and they aren't mostly black.

    And when considering the amount of US arrest a year are approximately 12 million and the amount of cop related deaths are approximately 400, there are 99.9% of arrest subjects that are not killed.

    What you've shared is that this guy was parked illegally, tried fleeing from the officers, ran over 2 officers with a potentially deadly weapon, outside of a bar.

    Parked illegally. – 1 crime.
    Hit 2 officers. – 2 crimes.
    Fleeing from an officer. – 1 crime.
    Potential DUI. – 1 potential crime.

    Final verdict?

    He could have killed 2 law enforcement officers because of his violations of traffic laws.

    Would you have rather him drive away and kill innocent civilians? Somehow, it'll STILL be a white man's fault if he drove off and hit an innocent civilian.

    It's about role models, of which black America has not had since King. Hip Hop "Culture" is as much to blame for the continuation of profiling than anything. 45. I am a mother of three black children 2, 10, 11, and I teach them to love everyone. I can only pray that one day they bring home someone that is god fearing and a good person. I could care less what their race is as long as they are good people. I feel so sorry for those who cannot treat people with dignity and respect regardless of what race they are. I treat people based on the content of their character as I was taught as a child. I still know and experience racism from white people because I live in the south, but I just turn the other cheek because they have the problem, not me. I laugh at every time a white women sees me and grabs her purse as if I was going to take it not knowing that I am a well educated black women with my own home and plenty of money in the bank. If my child made the poor choice of fighting with a police officer and try to take his gun I would expect he would be shot. 47. Sorry but if you give a cop a reason to feel threatened, or feel that you're a threat to others, then you're probably going to get what you deserve. That is regardless of color. The incident above was clearly an accident, and the cop knew it, and has to live with it the rest of his life.
    As far as Michael Brown is concerned, he ran at Wilson, which resulted in him being a "weapon". If you don't think a 6'4", 300lb. man running at you full speed is a weapon, then you should put yourself in Wilson's shoes, and think about what you would do if you had seconds to make a decision.     As far as color is concerned, i highly doubt Wilson was thinking "holy crap this big black kid is running at me". I'm sure in that split second, he was thinking "this very large kid is going to overpower me and get my gun". Now i'm not saying there aren't any corrupt or racist cops out there, because i'm sure there are, but quit making every about being black already. That was not a cheap shot or a threat-it is a fact! White people are not producing white children as fast as other races are producing their respective children.
    I feel that the last two generations of whites (the vast majority) taught their children, students, etc of racial acceptance and equality. His death on the street could have saved someone else's life that he could have one day taken. 77. I'm pretty sure there have been studies that have found that black police kill more people, per capita, than white police. Black police particularly kill more black people than white police. This doesn't mean that black police are more trigger happy (it could mean that, but I doubt it) but is most likely a simple reflection of the fact that black police are more likely to be working in high crime black neighborhoods.     As to what you said- let's look at 2 comparisons in high profile black cases with very similar white counterparts… First up
    Trayvon Martin: George Zimmerman was arrested but acquitted.

    White counterpart
    Christopher Cirvini: Roderick Scott was arrested but acquitted.

    Differences in the two cases:
    Zimmerman followed but did not attack first. He eventually shot Martin in self defense, which only applied because Martin's assault. Had Martin just creepily watched as Zimmerman did, her be alive.

    Roderick Scott looked out the window saw a kid in a neighbor's car. He grabbed his gun, ran downstairs, told them to freeze, then supposedly shot Christopher when he ran towards him. He did not get assaulted or injured. He was acquitted. (Black people refuse to acknowledge this).

    Next up…
    Michael Brown: White officer acquitted
    Dillion Taylor: non white officer acquitted

    All that aside… What about all the cases like lance/Christensen? Beat to death, tortured by blacks.

    How about the Denton ward case? He was beaten to mush in a parking lot for being white by at least 20 blacks in a crowd of 300+. It happened 8 days before Martin but most people never heard of it, even after a 20+million lawsuit was won against McDonalds for unsafe establishment. No charges for his murder.     I almost agree. However, it's more because white dealers are less likely to hang out on the street or in parking lots to sale at. Whites are more careful and deliberate. Whites are less likely to congregate with other dealers and users in obvious high crime areas. Cops are less likely to patrol in rural areas where whites live in general.

    Though whites do drugs at similar rates, they don't do them in the open and in high crime areas as often. Whites smoke at home, on back roads, in outdoor open areas, instead of in parking lots, the movies, etc. Whites also don't carry a lot with them as they typically have buyers and amounts planned out instead of stopping strangers to ask them if they want it.

    I'm not biased- just based on my experiences as a legal assistant/paralegal.

All police wanted to do was to insist that it was a "random act of violence" so it wouldnt go down as a hate crime. Just wanted to offer some perspective on why whites may deeply fear blacks – it has been conditioned by bad experiences. Also, please teach your children of any race not to sass, be rude or resistant to police. Keep your cool and have the utmost courtesy. They have guns.
