Evanston Decriminalizes Marijuana

Evanston, Illinois, is where I’m from. Getting caught with less than 10 grams of weed will not be an arrestable offense and won’t go on your criminal record.

“It does not say that it’s okay to smoke pot, but it does say that they don’t have to live in fear of having a record follow them the rest of their life if they are caught,” [said] Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl.

    Chicago may do something similar.

It's amazing what politicians will do when money is short.

It's almost as if hard times causes their IQ's to rise to near triple digits.

  2. Think about the children.

[I don't know why I said that. Just seemed right.]

It would be kind of cool if Howard Street was once again a border street of vice. Like when Evanston was dry and bars lined the south side of the street.

First bar I ever drunk at was the PM Club. I was there with my under-aged Northwestern friends. I was three years younger.

The bartender asked for ID and one of my friend said, "Carding at the PM Club? Is this a joke!?" The bartender sheepishly apologized and served all of us.

  3. One of your John Jay College colleagues has infected the Chicago Police Department with his hippie views on gun violence.

Now I'm willing to see if his theories work in action, but he needs to get a haircut.

Who the hell does he think he is Jesus, or something!
