I get scared every time a president declares "war" on something, because it means the original strategy will never change. We'll just keep doing more and more of the same, on the premise that the original strategy was sound, we're just not doing enough of it.
Now that I think of it, maybe Obama should have declared war on the recession. Then the stimulus might have been big enough.
